Results From July 18th's Balance Team Challenge

A win is a win, right, by any means necessary? Make sure you do whatever you can to come out on top. Whatever it takes, that’s got to be the motto. Just make sure you make your mark on history.

I’m sure some of you reading this can already guess to what I am referring. For those of you not in the know, I am simply talking about the lone match the community won in this past Balance Challenge. Let’s just go ahead and get this out of the way now. The Sarissophoroi were having issues, this you have said, and this we know. The Sarissophoroi have been fixed and you will notice the changes when the Anniversary Update goes live next month.

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s continue.

This week was a shorter week and our Balance team took on 6 people instead of the 8 that you are used to. Still, despite the disappearance of a few challengers, there was still enough action to last the 2 hour time slot allotted for this week’s festivities.

Enter IamSTEVEHOLT who is no stranger to these events, nor is he a stranger to pressure. If you recall he was the first person from our team to publicly take on the community, so it’s safe to say he knows how to handle the spotlight. Facing off against him was dantesino, a fresh face looking to make an impact.

I must say I admire the courage. During the sign up period dantesino wasn’t too sure he’d want to take the risk without the proper gear, but once he learned he would be playing Champion Mode, he found the nerve needed to take part in the action. Unfortunately he met his demise by the hands of IamSTEVEHOLT and his army backed by rainbow wielding Toxotes.

Next up was Zerton55. Wait, Zerton or WeaklyMammal? I can’t seem to tell the difference -____- Regardless of who he is today, Zerton found himself on the losing end of the battle, and he now loses that Balance Challenge Victor tag that was plaguing the forums. There can only be one!

Next up for IamSTEVEHOLT was a very familiar face, sKs anxiety. I have no words other than bad form, Gua. Bad form, indeed.

After recovering from bashing our heads against the keyboard, we rallied for the final opponent IamSTEVEHOLT would have to face, iSparky XzamqLe. Unfortunately he would catch the rage infused in IamSTEVEHOLT by his previous competitor, and was taken down like most of the challengers before him. Still, it was a pretty good game, so I will drop the embedded video in here for you all to watch!

We took a quick break in the action to allow for Iamghostfall to get all set up. Since 2 challengers had prior work obligations, the only people around to take on our Balance Team member were Wilier Poem and IamFarmer1.

Wilier Poem came out of the gates ready to attack, but was immediately thwarted, forced to retreat, and ultimately defeated. IamFarmer1 on the other hand, came out a bit stronger, and actually gave us the longest game of the day, but still ended up being handed a loss.

All in all it was a fun day. 5-1* for the Balance Team. Why is there an asterisk next to the 1, you ask? Well that is sKs anxiety’s game which he set out to prove a point? Thanks for reminding us the sky is blue, buddy!
