To redeem your Age of Empires Online game content and begin playing, follow these three easy steps.

Create an account
Install the Game
Redeem your codes

NOTE: After each step below, return to this page to continue.

1. Create an account
If you don’t already have one, create a LIVE ID account and gamertag.
2. Install the Game
Windows XP? Install this hotfix first!
- 1. Install Age of Empires Online.
- 2. To complete the installation, click Play on the Install Success screen.
- 3. The latest game files will now install on your machine. This download may take some time.
  
  Click Play when the download is complete.
3. Redeem your codes
A. Click LIVE.
B. Click Sign In.
Note: On the Sign In screen, be sure to use the email address and password associated with your Windows Live ID.
C. Click your gamer card.
D. Click Redeem Code
E. Enter your 25-digit code and click Redeem.
Note: Your codes are on the card that came in your retail box.
F. Click Download Now.
G. Click Continue.

Note: Repeat steps D through G to redeem additional codes. Close the Games for Windows LIVE screen when finished.
Your premium empire is ready to play!
